1. What makes you different from other local photographers? Why should someone hire you?
You want an experienced photographer that has a warm, outgoing personality and good interaction skills to make your day more enjoyable. We focus on bringing a sense of joy and peace while serving you at your wedding.
2. How quickly will I receive my prints?
Prints are typically available within 2-3 weeks after a wedding Your full resolution JPEGs are typically ready withim the same timeframe. We also provide images already prepared for sharing on the web, perfect for emailing, Myspace, Facebook, blogging etc.

4. How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take?
Your wedding is documented with unlimited captures. Usually we take over 1,200 to original RAW captures. We post process and hand correct 300+ of the best images for you and deliver them in a JPEG format. We want your input on what posed and group shots you want! We provide a free consultation with you a week before your wedding to ensure we get all the poses you desire.
5. How would you describe your photographic style? What does this mean?
Our style is to compliment your occasion, as you want. Typically, this is referred to “photojournalistic”. This means we tend to be rather unobtrusive and in the background. Your day should be spent interacting with those you love, not constantly posing for a photographer! The only time we doing much posing is during the “formal” or “group shots”.
6. How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel charge?
We will travel free of charge from Miami up to Palm beach, Florida with no additional charges. For destination weddings and other locations we only bill the actual cost of milage, hotel and plane charges.
7. Can we request both that both color and black & white photography be used at the wedding?
To offer you the most in variety and image options, we shoot in a variety of post-production styles. Black and white, sepia are available at no additional cost.
8. Do you bring an assistant to the wedding to help coordinate portraits?
YES! We partner with you before the wedding day to create a checklist of the most important images to you. Our assistant will make sure all your special guests are captured in photographs.
9. Can I keep the negatives? The proofs? Is there an extra charge for this service? How much?
You will receive the final, post-production, hand-corrected and individually photoshopped images with any of our wedding packages. These will be in JPEG format with a set in full resolution suitable for printing as well as web size versions for you to use with email, blogging, Facebook, etc. Additionally, you will have a print release so you can print the images at the lab of your choice.
10. What kind of equipment will you bring with you? Do you bring backup equipment? lighting?
We have back ups for all our main gear I.E. camera bodies, lenses, flashes, etc. Our lighting systems is a state of the art Elinchrom studio lights and Canon 580 EX II’s with multiple units for back up. Additionally, we use the Canon 5D Mark II renown for it’s low-light capability. Check out our “Toolbox” section on our main site for more information.
11. What new ideas have you implemented in the last couple years? Are you current with latest trends?
Your images are to be unique, timeless and genuinely draw out your unique character. After learning more about your taste and style we offer a variety of shooting situations as well as post production art techniques that will enhance and draw out the exquisite beauty of your day. These include trash the dress sessions, off site bride and groom sessions in original locations, photoshop texture overlays, cross-processing images and more! Feel free to ask us for a specific “look” you want.
12 . Will you be taking digital photographs? Is there an extra charge for this service?
We only shoot 100% digital using the finest in Canon professional gear to ensure we capture your photographs as accurately and creatively as possible.
13. Can guests view and order shots on-line? How soon will the photos be put on-line?
All post-production images will be available online for you to proof within 2-3 weeks. Upon your approval, we will release them to your friends and family for their enjoyment and ordering. Our image hosting vendor is Pictage.com, the world leader in digital image printing.
14. What is included in your basic wedding packages?
Your basic wedding package includes: 6 hours of photographic coverage, an assistant to work with you and the photographer, a 10 X 10 hard bound album, 300+ hand processed and photoshopped images in JPEG format in print and web resolution, $100.00 credit with Pictage, image viewing and purchasing 24 X 7 on Pictage.com, 2 free photographic consultations about your wedding, unique one-of-a-kind Digital album pre-design, and the best customer service skills in South Florida and world wide!
15. What is your customer satisfication cancellation policy?
We guarantee that you will be satisfied with your images or we will make what ever reasonable adjustments you want to make sure you are fully satisfied!
16. What is your event cancellation policy?
Canceled 3-5 months in advance: 10% or $250.00 – which ever is greater
Canceled 1-3 months in advance: 30% or $750.00 – which ever is greater
Canceled less than 1 month: 50% or $1,200.00 – which ever is greater
17. What are your standard payment terms? How much is the deposit?
We accept all major credit cards and checks. Your initial deposit to hold the date is 50% of your package price. The remainder is due before the wedding date.
18. How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date?
Most wedding planning sites recommend one year in advance for the ceremony and recpetion locations. We recommend at least 8 months in advance to ensure your date is available for Curtis Copeland to photograph your wedding. Our schedule tends to fill up quickly!
