Wedding Photography Top 5 Tips to Posing
Hello brides-to-be!
Today we are going to look at some simple and secret ways you can pose to make your pictures look fabulous. These are simple. yet effective ways to help your photographer get better photos and for you to feel and look confident at your best!
Posing Tip No. 1: Slightly turn sideways 45 degrees to the camera, pacing one foot slightly in front of the other. Point your toe to the camera and shift your weight on your back leg.
Posing Tip No. 2: Bring chin forward very slightly to minimize any appearance of double chin.
Posing Tip No. 3: When standing, position your arms slightly away from your body while bending at the elbow. This keeps upper arm flab from flattening out and appearing wider (much like thighs do when one sits on a couch).
Posing Tip No. 4: Roll shoulders back, arch your back and slightly pull stomach in. Very good dramatic look.
Posing Tip No. 5: One unique idea is the look away trick. To do this, face your nose away from the camera about 45 degress in either directiom. Then keeping your head at that angle, bring jyst your eyes to come towards the camera lens. A slight smile just before the shutter will create a very nice candid look. It can take a few times to get it looking right. Practice makes perfect!
Taking photos from a higher vantage point can also be a very unique look. In general, photographing from below leads to many unflattering lines and making the wrong body parts appear larger. Shooting from below may have the appearance of adding another 10-15 pounds to your figure. Shooting from above is slimming and complimentary to the feminine form. It enhances the eyes, bust line and reduces perceived waist size.
Well ladies, that’s our lesson for today. Hope you found these wedding photography top 5 tips to posing helpful.
